Read this before you automate anything.

AI calling and texting are regulated. Reviews are regulated. Health data is regulated. We build inside these rules by default and we will tell you no when something is not allowed. This page is a summary, not legal advice.

A2P 10DLC registration

The rule

US carriers block business texting from unregistered numbers. Every client brand and campaign must be registered before a single text goes out.

What we do

We register your brand and campaign (each client workspace) during setup and throttle sending to protect your trust score.

TCPA and AI voice

The rule

The FCC ruled in Feb 2024 (24-17) that an AI-generated voice is an "artificial voice." Outbound AI calls need prior express consent, and marketing calls need prior express written consent. Damages run $500–$1,500 per call.

What we do

Inbound AI answering carries no TCPA outbound risk. Outbound AI calling is only built for leads who ticked a consent box, with recordings of that consent, and never for cold lists.

One-to-one consent

The rule

The FCC one-to-one consent rule was vacated by the 11th Circuit (Jan 2025) and repealed, but general consent rules still apply and carriers still expect documented consent.

What we do

Every form includes a clear, unticked consent checkbox that is not required to buy. We keep the timestamped record.

Opt-out handling

The rule

STOP and plain-language requests ("quit", "cancel", "no more") must be honored within 10 business days, with one confirmation text inside five minutes and no marketing in it.

What we do

Opt-outs are processed automatically across SMS and voice, with a plain confirmation and nothing else.

State mini-TCPA laws

The rule

Florida, Oklahoma and Maryland limit calls and texts to 8am–8pm local time and three contacts per 24 hours on the same topic. Maryland needs written consent. Florida has a 15-day STOP rule before suit.

What we do

Quiet hours and daily caps are set per contact time zone. Campaigns into FL, OK and MD run under the stricter rules by default.

Google review policy

The rule

Google bans selectively asking only happy customers for reviews, offering incentives, fake reviews, and (per 2026 reports) staff review quotas and on-site kiosks.

What we do

Everyone is asked, nobody is filtered, nobody is paid. Private feedback runs alongside the public link, never instead of it.

FTC consumer review rule

The rule

In force since Oct 21, 2024: no fake or AI-written reviews, no buying reviews, no suppressing negative ones. Penalties up to $53,088 per violation.

What we do

AI only drafts replies to reviews, never reviews. Website widgets never hide negative reviews on an "all reviews" display.

Call recording consent

The rule

Some states require all-party consent to record a call.

What we do

Every AI-answered call discloses that it is an AI and that the call may be recorded, before anything else is said.

Three things we will not build

  • Cold outbound AI calls. Outbound AI voice is only for leads who gave prior express written consent, with the record kept.
  • Review gating. We never filter who gets asked for a review, never offer incentives, and never hide negative reviews on a website widget.

For outbound AI calling, we recommend a one-time review of your consent forms by a US TCPA attorney. We will hand them everything they need.

Questions about your situation?

Tell us what you want to automate and we will say what is allowed, what needs consent and what we would not do.

No contract for the audit. We show you the lost calls first.
